Description
Since the genuine extension merges the main passage and the bypass passage with the turbine, when the actuator is activated, the main exhaust flow and the bypass flow interfere, causing the secondary exhaust pressure to rise and the exhaust pressure to rise temporarily. It will rise, the boost pressure will drop, and it will lead to power down.
The "extension kit" was developed to eliminate this useless power reduction and bring out the full potential of the turbine.
Exhaust interference is prevented by making the main pipe and bypass pipe independent.
Exhaust interference is prevented by attaching a partition boss to the extension flange even for the normal turbine that joins in the exhaust housing. The pipe gathering part is set at the downstream part of the extension with low exhaust pressure where exhaust interference is reduced. Furthermore, by expanding the main pipe immediately after the turbine exit, the swirling flow that causes exhaust resistance is mitigated. As a result, the rise of the secondary exhaust pressure is prevented, the boost pressure is always stabilized, and the power is increased.
In addition, SS material with excellent heat resistance is used for the flange, and stainless steel (SUS304) with excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistance is used for the pipe, giving consideration to durability as well as aesthetics.
The extension that is standard equipment for the GT570 and GT600 racing packages of the R35 GT-R is set separately. Since it is a catalyst straight type, it can be used for making time-attack vehicles.
