Quaife ATB Helical LSD Rear Differential (R200 29 Spline) Fits Nissan S13 Silvia & 180SX (A/T Viscous LSD), S14 Silvia & 200SX (-12/1996 M/T Viscous LSD)QDF7L/S14
Quaife ATB Helical LSD Rear Differential Fits Nissan R200 29 Spline
Description
Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential is suitable for Nissan R200 S13 Silvia, 180SX, S14 Silvia & 200SX & is possible to be retrofitted into other R200 differentials with the use of the correct diff axle stubs.
A direct replacement for the standard Nissan Viscous Limited Slip differential, the Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential transforms your car’s performance.
The Nissan QDF7L/S14 Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential transforms your car’s performance. Unlike a conventional plate-style limited slip differential, the Nissan R200 Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential relies on gears rather than clutch plates for its operation. That means it is much smoother in operation.
The Nissan R200 QDF7L/S14 Quaife ATB Limited Slip Differential LSD is designed to prevent the complete loss of drive that occurs with a conventional differential when one wheel slips. While requiring some torque in the slipping wheel, the Quaife unit is progressive in action but never locks, controlled power is transmitted to all the driving wheels
Best suited to high powered front, all and rear wheel drive systems, The Nissan Quaife ATB differential is ideal for autocross, lapping and road racing where it outperforms other LSD systems including clutch-type LSD. With low heat generation (no diff cooler required) and unlocking under throttle lift and deceleration, the Quaife LSD provides a predictable, stable power transfer in cornering, braking and transitions while preserving the reliability of the differential unit, lap after lap.
Installation is identical to the normal differential with bearing pre-loads and pinion mesh being restored to the original manufacturer’s settings. Servicing of the unit is simple as all gear pinions are free fitting and normal final drive lubrication oils are retained. Due to the internal design of the Quaife ATB differential, all driving wheels must be elevated when servicing brakes, wheels etc.
The Quaife Rear ATB Helical LSD differential has many benefits over a standard open differential, including maximising traction and minimizing wheelspin, eliminating torque steer and snatching in front wheel drive cars compared to conventional LSD units, and a maintenance-free design which retains the standard oil lubrication.
The Quaife Rear ATB Helical LSD differential is proven in circuit and drag racing, rallying and road use, and is produced from Corus steel billets, and is CAD designed and CNC machined, then inspected to ISO 9001 standards.
What sort of gear oil should I use?
For a Quaife ATB differential, running in a rear axle, we advise you to use a hypoid 90 or 75W90.
Vehicle Compatibility:
- Nissan S13 Silvia (A/T Viscous LSD)
- Nissan S13 180SX (A/T Viscous LSD)

Notes:
- Please check for the correct 29 spline diff stub axles when installing your Quaife R200 QDF7L/S14. (See Drawing below)
- Some vehicles noted above will require you to source the correct length 29 spline (5 or 6 Bolt) stub axles to suit your driveshafts.
- In some cases, only one additional stub axle may be required due to your current diff being fitted with the correct axle needed.
This QUAIFE QDF7L/S14 requires 29 Spline diff stub shafts as shown in "F" drawing.
